Remove the original holder and disconnect the related wiring harness connectors, for easier disassembly is recommended to remove the right side panel of the tail as shown in Fig 1

Attach the mounting plate using the same mounting holes of 'taking care to insert the 2 spacers (included in package) onto the screws further inland. Fig 2 and Fig 3

Install the backing plate with the reflector and license plate light (optional) and adjust the tilt.

Adequately tighten the side screws to prevent rotation and possibly exploit the slot on the right side for another screw. FIGURE 4
